The VTL Signature Monoblock Amplifiers have evolved steadily since their early inception in the 1990’s, and are the most popular core models in VTL’s lineup. Known for their high power, high performance and ability to drive a wide range of speakers, the Signature monoblocks have won wide acclaim as the best value in high performance tube amplifiers. In 2007, VTL significantly transformed and modernized the Signature Monoblocks by incorporating the “smart-tube” technology derived from VTL’s flagship Siegfried Reference Amplifier, as well as updating its looks to match the sleek VTL Reference components. Utilizing the auto bias and fault-sensing technology first developed for the Siegfrieds, the new Series II Signature amps are now even easier to use and maintain. Parts upgrades, including portions of the regulated power supply used in the Reference VTL Siegfried monoblocks, contribute to a significant improvement in sonic performance, with greatly improved bass punch and dynamics.

MB-450 Series II

Music connoisseurs have long admired the MB-450 for outstanding performance at a fair value. Now, VTL has significantly revised these venerable monoblocks, using many of the technological innovations derived from the flagship Siegfried Reference Amplifier. The extensive updates include a revised power supply, SmartTube technology with automatic bias adjustment and fault sensing, and upgraded electronic components. The result is a significant advance in sonic performance, with greatly improved bass punch and dynamics. A sleek new precision-milled faceplate incorporates a smoked glass window, giving users an impressive glimpse of the glowing tubes within. These monoblocks are ideally suited for those seeking a thoroughly modern high-power amplifier that competes in sonics, looks and usability with the very best.
