  Signature Output Transformer Upgrade  

These are the new proprietary VTL Signature output transformers which we use in our current Signature Monoblock amplifiers. The advantage of the Signature transformers is that the frequency response of the amplifiers will be much further extended for both the highs as well as the bass frequency. This has been a very popular upgrade for many of our existing customers, and the one upgrade which would give you the excellent sonic improvements. 

In the course of performing the Signature transformer upgrade, we must convert your amplifier's output tubes to 6550C. 

This upgrade is available for certain models only, such as the Delux 225, Delux 300, Ichiban 500, Ichiban 600.  Please contact VTL to find out if the Signature upgrade is available for your amplifier.  top

  Coupling Caps Upgrade  

Another popular upgrade is to change the caps in the signal path to the audiophile quality caps such as the MIT caps. These special caps can add clarity and resolution to your amplifier.  top

  RCA Jacks and Binding Posts Upgrades  

If your existing jacks and binding posts are getting tarnished, upgrading to our new custom gold-plated jacks and binding posts can also improve the sound of the amps.  top

  Fuses  

If your older VTL amplifiers do not come with B+ fuses, the factory can add the B+ fuse to your amplifier.  The B+ fuse provides protection and protects your amplifier against damage from tube failure.

You can also order replacement fuses from VTL. Please contact VTL with the serial number and model number of your amplifier for the proper fuse values for your VTL equipment.  top

  External Bias Measurement and Adjustment Points  

If your older VTL amplifiers are not equipped with external bias measurement and adjustment points available from the deck of the amplifier, an upgrade is available to add the bias trim pots and bias measurement points to your amplifier.  top

  New Tubes  

Replacement output tubes, input and driver tubes for most VTL models are available from the factory.  Please contact VTL for the tube type that you wish to order, and include the serial number and model number of your VTL equipment with the request.  top

  Tetrode/Triode Switching
